Sleeps 8 · 4 bedrooms · 2 en-suites · Hot tub
The bigger lodge — a snug, a sitting room with a corner sofa, ground-floor bedrooms and a veranda that runs out to far-reaching valley views.
The lodges
Stay in one, or take both — booked together they sleep 13, and with little Pen-y-Coed too, up to 15. Perfect for a family that travels in numbers.
More than a place to stay
The area
177 miles of National Trail and thousand-year-old earthworks start near the gate. The Elan Valley, Hay-on-Wye and Kington are all an easy drive — then it's dark skies and proper quiet by night.
Every booking made here skips the agency commission. Same lodge, better price, and you're talking straight to Mollie & Rich.

Dan Y Coed rests in the charming hamlet of Beggar's Bush, a fantastic base for exploring Mid Wales at any time of year. Step out into the enclosed garden and the veranda hands you far-reaching views; the hot tub at the side of the lodge is the perfect way to unwind each evening.
Inside there are two spots to relax — a snug that leads through to the well-equipped kitchen/diner, and a spacious sitting room with an inviting corner sofa, made for cosying up with a film. Two of the four bedrooms are on the ground floor, so there's easy living for those less able.

Plus a ground-floor bathroom with a bath and separate shower, and a handy utility room.
Two well-behaved dogs stay free, and the farm has its own secure dog field — the same enclosed paddock behind our sister site, Penoffa Paw Paddock. Off-lead running, safely fenced, steps from the door.
About the Paw Paddock →Book Dan Y Coed alongside Pen Y Clawdd (sleeps 5) and together they sleep 13. Add little Pen-y-Coed (sleeps 2) and the three lodges take up to 15 — the whole hamlet to yourselves.
